celica motors araneta ave 2019 Corolla Hatchback XSE Intro

My wife just picked up a brand new 2019 Corolla Hatchback XSE. She had some things that needed to be done to it, so she sent me to do it today. Decided to show it off a little bit, and see how it feels compared to my Celica. It drives nicely, and the CVT delivers constant power, and it's strange, but addicting. When you put your foot down it pulls and pulls with no signs of stopping. The 1st gear for launches is nice as it keeps getting going from a stop much quicker and easier. It feels heavier than the Celica does, but more planted. The Celica feels more nimble, and light on its feet, but doesn't feel as stuck to the road as the Corolla. I think that the 6 speed manual XSE Corolla would be a very fun car to have as a track car. I really like the car overall even with the CVT, it's very nice and fairly responsive. My wife made a solid choice, and since it's a Toyota it'll serve her for years to come.
